WhisperTree Yoga offers several online live-streamed zoom classes both for private groups and individuals as well as open group classes.

All classes are interactive and offer optional Q&A sessions at the end of class. This means you can actively learn about what works best for you. Classes are never rote, and always fine-tuned to who participates.

In addition to the general Yin Yoga classes you can also explore additional classes, each with their own flavor:

Yin Yoga

Yin & Meditation

Yin & Contemplative Writing

Yin Yoga
Simply put, Yin Yoga is the practice of relaxing your muscles and settling in to yoga poses for several minutes at a time. The physical benefits can be a relief from achy, vague pain; joints that become more movable and supple and the body feeling energized. At the same time these longer held poses are wonderful to sink in to the body and tune in with minute changes and fluctuations. Our minds can benefit greatly when we use Yin Yoga as an awareness practice, learning to fill our bodies with gentle attention. We can become aware of tensions both physical and those created by our thoughts. Learning to embody our own flesh this way, benefits our ability to consciously live and take on the challenges of life.

Yin & Meditation
Sometimes meditation supports yoga and sometimes yoga supports meditation. In this class you can expect to learn meditation techniques, both in traditional sitting meditation and how to integrate these with Yin poses. In Yin yoga we work with the principal that the mind is not just in the brain, but in the whole body and nervous system. Meditation can aid us in better tuning in with the sensations that can arise in our body during or immediately after we are in a yin pose. Meditation is always about working with the mind, not against it. Whatever comes up can be embraced as valuable information on our path.

Yin & Contemplative Writing
This class invites you to dive under the surface of your every day mind, writing intuitively and with your whole being.
Contemplative writing exercises are alternated by Yin poses and meditation to bring you in touch with your inner world. Yin & Contemplative writing can be a beautiful way to meet yourself with gentle inquisitiveness.
